Some 200 companies with Turkmen capital are operating in Uzbekistan, including manufacturers of facing materials, textile enterprises, furniture factories, and service providers, according to a press release from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.
Joint projects continue in the agro-industrial sector, oil refining, and packaging production.
In 2024, bilateral trade reached $1.148 billion, with Uzbekistan exporting $128 million and importing over $1 billion, mainly in fuel, lubricants, chemical products, and industrial goods.
Transport connectivity plays a key role in strengthening economic ties. Total cargo transport in 2024 reached 1.11 million tons, with transit increasing nearly 40%.
From January to October 2025, trade between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan totaled $876.8 million.
