Position Title: Computer Operator (LAN) NEC - Open to All Interested/ All Sources (LE-1815)

Salary: USD $18,872

Work Schedule: Full-time - 40 hours/week.

Full Performance Grade - LE-07

Duty Location(s): 2 Vacancy in Ashgabat

Duties

Works with the Computer Management Assistant, assisting with daily LAN operations, installations, modifications and maintenance.   Reports directly to the Computer Management Assistant. Responds to user requests for assistance with accounts, computers, printers and COTS applications. Performs technical installation of computers and peripheral hardware and troubleshoots and repairs network cabling. Drives USG vehicle during the fulfillment of official duties associated with maintenance at off sites.

Qualifications and Evaluations

EXPERIENCE: At least three years’ work experience troubleshooting computers and other IT issues, with at least one years’ experience with computer/LAN administration or user support.

EDUCATION: Completion of Secondary Education

LANGUAGE:

• Good Working Knowledge Level of English Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested.
• Good Working Knowledge Level of Turkmen Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested.
• Good Working Knowledge Level of Russian Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must hold a driver’s license (Category B).
