Turkmenistan's Military, Law Enforcement Chiefs Receive Reprimands

Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed an order during the latest State Security Council meeting on Thursday, reprimanding the Minister of Internal Affairs and issuing a severe reprimand to the Chief of the State Border Service and the Commander of the Border Troops, Turkmenistan's official media reports.

According to the document, Hydyrov Muhammet, the Minister of Internal Affairs, received a reprimand for improper performance of duties and deficiencies in work.

Chief of the State Border Service and Commander of the Border Troops, Nuryev Yazgeldi, also received a severe reprimand for improper performance of duties and deficiencies in work.

The Head of State also signed a decree appointing and dismissing judges of Turkmenistan's courts and assigning them qualification classes.

The agenda of the meeting included matters of ensuring security and peace in Turkmenistan, strengthening the material-technical base of security structures, and further improving their activities.
