Job title: Local Consultant on Server Setup and Configuration

Overall Objective and Purpose

YDA is going to partner with the International Federation of Red Crescent (IFRC) and National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) to provide online educational opportunities to the general public, over 5,000 NRCST volunteers, and local teachers. YDA is going to provide support to the NRSCT in installing, setting up, and configuring a server that will host a wide range of YDA-developed educational resources, learning management systems, and an online job platform. YDA will hire a consultant(s) to implement the server set-up and configurations, upload and systematize educational materials, and provide initial maintenance of the server, installed software, and uploaded educational resources. The consultant will also be required to train the relevant NRCST staff in maintaining the server, software, and resources.

Responsibilities:

The consultant will be responsible for implementing the following activities in coordination with YDA staff.

• Connection of the server to high-level secure networks
• Installation of virtual servers and all necessary services and protocols for LMS Moodle
• Provision of corporate server and hosting for applications and websites.
• Configuration and installation of the MS Active Directory and databases.
• Installation of Corporate Chat (RocketChat)
• Installation of self-hosted Videoconference software (Jitsi)
• Installation of PBX phone system

Minimum Qualifications:

• Authorized access to high-level secure networks and to the NRCST’s server room.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in server set-up and configuration.
• Proficiency in server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux.
• Experience with installation and configuration of virtual servers and services for Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory configuration and management.
• Experience with VMware ESXi set-up and configuration.

Additional Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with chat and communication tools like RocketChat.
• Familiarity with self-hosted videoconference software such as Jitsi.
• Experience in setting up and configuring PBX phone systems.
