OGT 2024 International Conference and Exhibition Opens in Ashgabat

The 29th Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan International Conference and Exhibition (OGT-2024) began on Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, Ashgabat.

On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants. In his address, the President highlighted the significance of this conference as a platform for constructive discussions on the priorities for developing the country's fuel and energy complex. He emphasized the importance of strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships and integrating new technologies into the oil and gas sector. "The industry exhibition within the framework of the international forum provides visitors with the opportunity to explore innovations, cutting-edge developments, and new projects," he added.

The OGT 2024 program includes a series of thematic sessions covering key global oil and gas issues such as the energy transition, the development of export routes, and the environmental aspects of hydrocarbon extraction. Among the speakers are high-profile executives from international companies, including Ariel Flores (BP), Matthew J. Sagers (S&P Global Platts), Ricard Vannby (Haldor Topsoe), Evgen Grozu (UNDP), and Kenyon S. Weaver (U.S. Department of Commerce).

Alongside the conference, the OGT Expo features more than 70 participating companies, including industry leaders such as ADNOC, CNPC, Eni, and Petronas. Turkmen companies are also well-represented, including Garagum Hazynasy, Nurly Tolkun, and Türkmen Gala.

OGT 2024 is set to be a key international platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities in the oil and gas sector, fostering cooperation, and sharing experiences among global industry leaders.
