The International Conference and Exhibition Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2024 (ITTC 2024) opened on Tuesday at the Exhibition Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants, remarking, "Our independent country places great importance on the development and diversification of logistics. As a result of implementing our transport and communication strategy, Turkmenistan systematically strengthens its position as a key transport and logistics center on both regional and international scales," as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
The International Conference Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2024 brought together leaders from the global transport community to discuss key challenges
The forum, timed to coincide with World Sustainable Transport Day, features a packed agenda that includes a high-level plenary session and thematic discussions. Key events include the second Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, supported by the UN, and the initiative Safe Roads for All.
The International Conference and Exhibition Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2024 will continue until November 27.
The previous International Conference and Exhibition International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development (ITTC 2023) took place from May 3 to 5 last year.
