On the occasion of World Health Day, Turkmen students and representatives of the diaspora in Ukraine took part in a sports and recreational event organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kiev on Saturday, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine.
The event program included various types of wrestling, arm wrestling, barbell and kettlebell lifting, bench press, and deadlift competitions. Participants also took part in speed and endurance running races, with the event concluding in intellectual tournaments in chess and checkers.
The initiative was held in parallel with large-scale physical culture, sports, and cultural events in Turkmenistan, which Turkmen youth in Ukraine enthusiastically joined.
Participants unanimously emphasized the importance of promoting sports and healthy lifestyle principles as essential to maintaining both physical and mental well-being.
Representatives of Turkmenistan’s diplomatic corps, who competed alongside the youth, underscored that nurturing a physically strong, spiritually, and intellectually developed young generation remains a priority of the country’s social policy.
