A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Oguljahan Atabaeva, Vice President of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund for Medical Activities, paid a working visit to the Principality of Monaco. The visit included meetings aimed at strengthening international partnerships in healthcare, environmental protection, culture, and tourism, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media on Tuesday.
During discussions with Thomas Brezzo, President of Monaco's National Council, both parties exchanged views on sustainable development and social cooperation, emphasizing collaboration in international forums and the implementation of humanitarian initiatives.
In a meeting with Prince Albert II of Monaco, the focus was on the role of healthy lifestyles, sports, and cultural exchanges in promoting peace and fostering good relations between nations. Both sides expressed a mutual interest in advancing principles of understanding and trust.
The sides emphasized the growing global interest in Turkmenistan as a tourist destination, noting that Monaco's expertise in tourism and cultural promotion could serve as a valuable platform for mutually beneficial exchanges and expanded partnerships.
Founded in March 2021, the Charitable Foundation has been actively developing partnerships with international organizations of a similar profile. Throughout its existence, the Foundation has provided aid to children affected by natural disasters in various countries and ensured medical treatment for children in need in Turkmenistan.
