National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, together with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, took part in cultural events at the “Eternal City” historical and ethnographic park, located within the Silk Road Samarkand International Tourist Center, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
During their visit, the two leaders explored exhibitions dedicated to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, including displays of traditional crafts and decorative-applied arts. The festive atmosphere was enriched by performances of dance ensembles showcasing the region’s rich artistic traditions.
As part of their program in Samarkand, Berdimuhamedov and Mirziyoyev also visited the Hazrat Khizr Memorial Complex, where they paid tribute to the memory of the First President of Uzbekistan.
From April 21 to 23, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also visited Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, continuing his regional tour aimed at strengthening cultural and diplomatic ties.
