An international fashion show took place during the “TurkmenTextile Expo — 2025” trade fair in Ashgabat, where both local and international designers presented their collections blending national traditions with modern fashion trends, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Wednesday.
The “Miras” fashion house, under the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, showcased a dress collection inspired by Turkmen heritage and global styles.
Among the international participants were Marianna Miceli, director of Mad Mood Milano Fashion Week; London-based designer Omar Mansoor, known for his sustainable haute couture evening wear; Turkmen designer Gowkher Pirkuliyeva Gouvernet, recognized for fusing Turkmen traditions with French style; Singaporean designer Hayden Ng; and Aidarkhan Kaliyev, chief designer of Kazakhstan’s “Asyl-design” fashion house.
The collections featured stylistic diversity and reflected a cultural dialogue between East and West — the central theme of the show.
The “TurkmenTextile Expo — 2025” runs from June 11 to 13 in Ashgabat.
