National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli District on July 17 as part of his visit to the country, according to the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.
A ceremonial welcome was held at Fuzuli International Airport, where an honor guard was lined up for the high-level guest. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev personally welcomed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov upon arrival.
During the airport visit, the Turkmen delegation was briefed on the construction of international airports in Fuzuli, Zangilan and Lachin.
On July 16, 2025, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Aliyev visited the Sea Breeze resort complex, located on the Caspian Sea coast about a 30-minute drive from central Baku.
