Avaza hosted the international conference on the role of women in modern society, dedicated to developing international cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals, Turkmenistan’s official media reported Wednesday.
The event brought together representatives of international organizations and experts to discuss initiatives aimed at empowering women and advancing the global sustainable development agenda.
Opening the conference, Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for medical activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Children in Need of Guardianship, emphasized the importance of women’s active participation in social, economic, and public life.
The conference highlighted Turkmenistan’s ongoing efforts to enhance women’s role in society, including expanding access to quality healthcare, supporting initiatives in maternity and childhood, and promoting women’s leadership.
The forum continued with a series of thematic sessions focused on developing partnerships, innovative approaches to social policy, and strengthening international cooperation.
