Ýumak economic society is working to expand its livestock population, with plans to purchase and import 1,485 head of breeding livestock from European countries, as well as construct livestock facilities and milking parlors, the Rysgal newspaper reported Monday.

Deputy Director Roznazar Nuryyev said the company is confident it will soon reach its target of maintaining 9,000 head of breeding livestock, contributing to the country’s food security and supplying high-quality, environmentally friendly dairy products.

Founded in 2010, Ýumak operates a dairy and fish farming complex in Altyn Asyr district of Ahal province.

The company currently maintains 975 Holstein cows. The livestock complex is equipped with advanced milking and monitoring systems, including technologies from Turkish company Intermik Dairy Sense, which allow round-the-clock automated tracking of each animal’s condition and ensure optimal living conditions.

The complex has the capacity to produce more than 11–12 tons of high-quality milk per day and over 2,500 tons annually. The environmentally friendly milk, with a fat content of up to 4–4.5%, undergoes quality control in a specialized laboratory.

In addition to livestock farming, Ýumak is also engaged in fish farming, producing about 35 tons of fish annually in ponds covering a total area of 30 hectares.
