Iran Embassy Holds Memorial Event in Ashgabat Honoring Iran’s Leader

A memorial event was held Friday at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan, dedicated to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, commanders who died for their country, and children of the city of Minab.

Attendees included Iran’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani; cultural counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat, Abdolreza Abbas; the ambassadors of Pakistan and Tajikistan to Turkmenistan; the military attaché of the Embassy of Pakistan; the cultural counselor of the Embassy of Türkiye; second secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, Vadim Yakovlev; members of the Iranian diaspora, Persian language learners, guests and media representatives.

Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani, expressed sincere gratitude to the guests for attending the memorial event dedicated to the country’s leader, Khamenei, held at the embassy’s cultural center in Ashgabat.

During the event, speeches were delivered by the cultural counselor of the Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat and the second secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan, while Persian language learners performed poetry.
