An Alternative Medicine Room was inaugurated Wednesday at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryyev in Ashgabat with the participation of a delegation led by the rector of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, according to official Turkmen media.
Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Oguljahan Atabayeva also attended the ceremony.
Speakers said bilateral relations cover a wide range of areas. Participants were introduced to the facilities of the new room, its medical equipment and key areas of alternative medicine.
The ceremony then continued in the university’s main conference hall. In recognition of contributions to cooperation between the two institutions and academic exchange, Tang Zhishu, rector of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, was awarded the title of honorary professor of the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryyev.
Participants congratulated Tang on receiving the honorary title and expressed confidence in the continued development of cooperation in this field.
