Heads of state attending the Regional Environmental Summit RES 2026 in Astana visited national pavilions, including Turkmenistan’s exhibition, as part of the International Exhibition of Green and Sustainable Technologies RES 2026 EXPO on Wednesday, the press service of Kazakhstan’s president reported.

During the expo, the presidents of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as other high-level guests, were presented with national pavilions of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, showcasing priorities in green energy and the efficient use of natural resources.

The exhibits highlight approaches to ensuring ecosystem sustainability, advancing environmental cooperation and introducing new solutions, including projects aimed at restoring the Aral Sea region.

Particular attention is given to private sector participation, with companies from the region presenting industrial developments in renewable energy, environmentally friendly infrastructure and waste management.

The exhibition brings together more than 240 participants from 30 countries and international organizations. More than 120 pavilions featuring advanced solutions in sustainable development are presented at the venue.

An investment forum is also being held on the sidelines of the event, serving as a platform for dialogue between government institutions and businesses.

The program includes international meetings and expert discussions on key environmental issues, as well as a “green” startup competition aimed at supporting innovative projects and young entrepreneurs.

Cultural events have also been organized for guests, including regional fashion showcases and an environmental film festival.
