A Turkmen-Chinese business forum and exhibition opened Tuesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in the capital, Ashgabat.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants on the opening and said the large-scale events are expected to give new momentum to relations between Turkmenistan and China, based on principles of friendship and mutual benefit, and to expand trade and economic cooperation.

In a message, the head of state said the forum and exhibition in white-marble Ashgabat serve as an example of constructive partnership between the two countries and will help unlock significant potential for cooperation in science, technology and high-tech industries, as well as facilitate the exchange of modern innovations and advanced practices.

The event, aimed at developing economic and trade ties between Turkmenistan and China, features advanced technologies, innovative solutions and key industrial sectors of both countries, along with their achievements.

The program includes thematic sessions and business meetings in B2B and B2G formats, creating opportunities to identify new areas of cooperation and conclude mutually beneficial agreements.

The forum and exhibition are expected to contribute to increased bilateral trade, stronger investment activity and the strengthening of long-term partnership.

The event will run through April 30.
