National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Kazan multifunctional equestrian complex, the press service of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan reported on Thursday.
During the visit, Berdimuhamedov was introduced to the operations of the equestrian complex, its infrastructure and training facilities for athletes. Particular attention was paid to the development of equestrian sports and the organization of international competitions.
Horse races and the International Jockey Championship are currently being held at the venue, bringing together leading riders from across Russia, including Tatarstan, as well as from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
An exhibition of agricultural and food products from Tatarstan enterprises was also organized at the complex.
The events are being held as part of the 17th International Economic Forum “Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum,” which combines business, investment and sports agendas.
