Turkmen Designers Present Collections at Paris Fashion Exhibition

Turkmen designers and brands Desert Heritage, Binaym and AYM, as well as Mukaddes Ibragimova, took part in the international professional fashion exhibition Who’s Next, held in Paris from Sept. 5-7, where they presented their new collections, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan reported.

As part of the exhibition, an introductory trip to Paris was organized for Turkmen entrepreneurs from Sept. 2-5. During the trip, they visited leading textile and fashion industry exhibitions, including Texworld, Premiere Vision and Who’s Next.

In addition, visits to independent boutiques, department stores, mass-market stores and cultural institutions gave participants an opportunity to gain experience in studying current trends in the global fashion and textile industry, new materials and technologies, as well as practical methods of presenting products in the European market.

The original collections presented by Turkmen brands at Who’s Next attracted the attention of specialists from several countries, particularly Italy, France and Spain. The exhibition also gave participants an opportunity to gain practical experience in modern methods of introducing buyers to products, determining a brand’s position in the market, designing exhibition stands and working with buyers.

The participation of Turkmen designers and brands in the exhibition was organized with the support of the International Trade Centre as part of the “Turkmenistan: Trade Resilience and Integration” project, funded by the European Union. The presentation of new collections at Who’s Next in Paris allowed Turkmen textile traditions and modern design solutions to be presented to an international audience.

The “Turkmenistan: Trade Resilience and Integration” project aims to improve the business climate, increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises and promote economic growth in Turkmenistan. The project also seeks to support Turkmenistan’s active participation in regional and global trade, including trade relations with the European Union.
