International Exhibition on Health, Education and Sports Opens in Ashgabat

An international exhibition and scientific conference on health care, education and sports opened in Ashgabat on Oct. 10 to mark Turkmenistan’s Health Care and Medical Industry Workers Day. The event is titled “Health Care, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State,” Turkmen state media reported.

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated participants in the exhibition and conference. “Our country is currently successfully implementing large-scale reforms in health care, education and sports. These efforts are aimed at creating modern structures, strengthening human health, ensuring a happy and prosperous life, educating a knowledgeable generation, promoting healthy lifestyles, mass sports and the Olympic movement,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed in his message.

The forum was organized by relevant ministries, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The event runs from Oct. 10-12 and is intended to provide an international platform for exchanging experience and developing cooperation among ministries, industry agencies, domestic and foreign companies, scientists and specialists.

The program includes exhibition displays, expert sessions, master classes and direct business negotiations in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) formats. Participants will have opportunities to share best practices, present innovative solutions and conclude long-term cooperation agreements.

Key topics include the introduction of digital technologies in health care and education, the development of sports medicine and preparations for major international competitions. During the scientific conference, specialists are discussing cardiology, surgery, innovative teaching methods and the use of digital solutions.
