Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and National Leader of Turkmen people, visited the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat on Wednesday to express his condolences for the earthquake victims, Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Togan Oral said in a tweet.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally conveyed his condolences and signed the book of condolences.
On Monday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymuhamedov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also sent messages of condolences to President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the earthquakes that caused numerous deaths and widespread destruction.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured Monday’s earthquake at 7.8. It said the quake was centered about 33 kilometers from Gaziantep. According to the AFAD, a total of 243 earthquakes occurred since Monday morning.
