President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Chairman of the Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov on Monday, the official Turkmen media reported.
During the meeting, Oleg Belozerov emphasized the high interest of Russian companies, in particular, the largest transport holding headed by him, in further deepening the constructive dialogue.
President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the delegation's visit would provide a good opportunity for productive negotiations, discussion of the main aspects, and prospects for mutually beneficial partnership, and that the meetings' outcomes would be an important step in expanding cooperation in the field of railway transport.
"Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of international transport cooperation, which is a priority of our foreign economic policy," said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
At the end of the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov and the Head of Russian Railways Belozerov exchanged good wishes, expressing confidence in the successful continuation of the traditional partnership built on existing interest and positive working experience.
