Turkmenistan Celebrates Eid al-Fitr
Oraza Bayram or Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar.

Turkmenistan on Friday celebrates Oraza Bayramy, or Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on the sacred holiday. In his message, published by the official media, the Head of State said, "The ancient Oraza Bayramy embodies generosity and goodwill."

"The festivities on the occasion of Oraza Bayram, embodying the enduring connection of times and generations, filled with national colors, inspire us for creation and grand achievements, demonstrate our unwavering commitment to universal values - humanism and kindness, the inviolability of national unity and cohesion," President Berdimuhamedov stated in his congratulatory message.

The Head of Turkmenistan wished, "May the Almighty accept your blessings and prayers made in the blessed month of Ramadan, the iftars and the prayers made in memory of the dead, prayers and wishes for the well-being of an independent neutral Fatherland, a happy and peaceful life of all mankind!"

Turkmen President received congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr from the Heads of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Palestine and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan Alhaj Molla Mohammad Hasan Akhund.
