President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tajikistan on Wednesday for a two-day state visit, the official Turkmen media reported.
On the occasion of the President of Turkmenistan's visit, the state flags of the two countries were raised at Dushanbe International Airport. President Berdimuhamedov was greeted by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and other officials.
At the airport, the Head of Turkmenistan had a conversation with an official representative of the Tajik side.
According to the Khovar news agency, the visit will include meetings and high-level talks between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and address bilateral cooperation. After the high-level meetings and talks, the sides will sign several new documents on cooperation.
A Turkmen-Tajik business forum, the first meeting of the Business Council of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as an exhibition of export goods of the two countries, were held on May 8-9 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
