National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov held a phone conversation on Tuesday to discuss prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in key areas, the official Turkmen media reported.
The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and discussed their potential for joint projects in the oil and gas industry, shipbuilding, chemical industry, and the supply of aircraft and trucks.
"Regular contacts at various levels, the exchange of delegations, and participation in various events held in our country and Tatarstan serve as a good opportunity to discuss topical issues of cooperation", said the National Leader of the Turkmen people. In this regard, it was noted that the Turkmen delegation will participate in the upcoming International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" on 18-19 May.
During the telephone conversation, the sides expressed intention to expand bilateral relations.
At the end of the conversation, Berdimuhamedov and Minnikhanov wished each other strong health and further successes in their respective state activities, as well as peace and prosperity for their brotherly peoples.
