Two large-sized quarry equipment for the second stage of construction of the Lebap cement plant arrived at Turkmenbashi International Sea Port last week on Wednesday, the press service of the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Maritime and River Transport) Agency reported on Thursday.
The equipment was produced in Germany and delivered to the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi from Turkish ports. Each one of the carriers weighs 125 tons.
According to the report, two Liebherr cargo cranes with a lifting capacity of 330 tons (which can be increased to 750 tons) were installed at the General Cargo Terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port to unload the large-sized and heavy cargoes brought in by ships.
The international Turkmenbashi seaport is a sea gate connecting Central Asia and Europe by sea, road, and rail and serves as the largest transit hub in the region. The port has large loading and unloading terminals equipped with powerful machinery, which fully allow for providing quality loading and unloading services as well as cargo storage.
