Eid al-Adha is celebrated in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, and in all provinces of the country.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on Eid al-Adha, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
"Eid al-Adha is an ancient holiday that instills honesty and purity in the whole world, as well as promotes our unity and integrity, creates universal spirituality in our society. This holiday, which crowns the purity of the human soul, unites our human qualities, spiritual and moral values and beliefs passed down from generation to generation, and has an increasing role in strengthening the principles of unity and integrity."
"During the holidays in our capital Ashgabat and in all regions of our country, we organize events that unite our people and form humanitarian and patriotic feelings in our generations," the President of Turkmenistan said in his message.
Presidents of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, the Sultan of Oman, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Afghanistan, the Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya sent congratulatory messages to President Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
