The National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the official Saudi press agency reported on Thursday.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi and other government officials.
According to the official Turkmen media, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree, which says that a delegation led by Halk Maslahaty Chairman will visit Mecca to perform Hajj on June 29-30.
Turkmenistan Mufti's Office plans to send 2,312 Turkmen citizens to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj in 2023.
