Medical Conference of Non-Aligned Movement Will Take Place in Turkmenistan

A scientific conference of medical and sanitary departments of NAM member states and other countries will be held this year in Ashgabat. Doctors, scientists, and experts will take part in the event, the official Turkmen media reported. 

The Turkmen delegates discussed holding the medical conference with Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Hans Kluge at the seventh ministerial conference on environment and health protection, which was held from July 5 to 7 in Budapest, Hungary.

The Turkmen delegation included heads and representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ministries of Health and Medical Industry, Agriculture, and Environment.

The event resulted in the Budapest Declaration and the Roadmap to improve human health, ensure a prosperous planet, and achieve a sustainable future for 2023–2030.

The Non-Aligned Movement is an international organization that unites 120 nations on the principles of non-participation in military blocs. The Non-Aligned Movement was officially established at the Belgrade Conference in September 1961.
