Turkmen Ambassador to Brussels, Sapar Palvanov, announced the Turkmen side's intention to organize a visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Brussels by the end of 2023 to meet with the heads of the EU institutions within the framework of the ceremony of presenting credentials to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in Belgium on Sunday.
Ursula von der Leyen, in turn, expressed the readiness of her team to work with Turkmenistan and meet with the Head of State, the press service of the Turkmen embassy in Belgium reported.
During the meeting, the Turkmen Ambassador also reiterated Turkmenistan's readiness to deepen cooperation in all possible directions and the need to maintain high-level contacts.
The sides also discussed the deepening of cooperation in the energy sector, and the President of the European Commission expressed the support of the government of Turkmenistan in expanding cooperation in this area.
The ambassador confirmed that progress has been made on this path and that the Turkmen side plans to hold a dialog in Brussels soon with the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission.
