The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and China in January-June period this year amounted to $5.55 billion, which is 12.3 percent more compared to the same period last year, according to the data issued by General Administration of Customs of China on Wednesday.
Turkmen exports accounted for most of the trade turnover. During the period, Turkmenistan exported $5.07 billion of products to China, of which gas supplies amounted to more than $5.05 billion.
Over the same period, Turkmenistan imported $476 million worth of Chinese goods.
The major component of Turkmenistan's exports to China is natural gas delivered through pipelines.
