President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held separate bilateral meetings with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the trilateral summit, at the Arkadag Hotel in the capital Ashgabat on Friday.
According to the official Turkmen media, the Heads of State discussed the development of mutual cooperation. In addition, they considered a number of matters of international and regional policy.
The Heads of State expressed confidence that the upcoming trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will contribute to the development of regional partnership.
The first trilateral summit, which will be held on Friday at the Arkadag Hotel in Ashgabat, will consider issues of expanding partnership in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. In addition, the Heads of State will exchange views on the development of cooperation on international and regional platforms.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held separate bilateral meetings with Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan at Ashgabat International Airport on Friday.
