Turkmenistan Says Ready to Cooperate With Europe on Trans-Caspian Pipeline

Turkmenistan, expressing its commitment to the strategy of diversifying energy flows, is ready to continue cooperation with European partners on the implementation of the Trans-Caspian Pipeline, which will bring natural gas to European markets via the Caspian Sea, Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, said in his speech at the conference "Caspian Sea - Sea of Peace and Friendship" held in Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan on Saturday.

According to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service, the initial concept of constructing the Trans-Caspian Pipeline, proposed by Turkmenistan, was considered not only as an economically and commercially viable project but also as a key factor in ensuring global energy security and sustainability.

Turkmenistan attached special importance to the equal consideration of the interests and benefits of producers, consumers, and transit countries of energy resources.

In a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued on July 24, Turkmenistan has reaffirmed its commitment to the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline.
