The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is currently actively working on the preparation of projects in the fields of healthcare, finance, transport, and energy in Turkmenistan, the ADB said in its press service.
According to the statement, ADB is actively developing a country partnership strategy for Turkmenistan for the period from 2024 to 2028. This strategy aims to promote Turkmenistan's integration into international markets, encourage private sector development, strengthen human capital, and implement economic reforms. Additionally, the new strategy will pay special attention to the country's transition to low-carbon energy.
The ADB is assisting the Government of Turkmenistan in improving the transportation infrastructure network, diversifying the economy, and developing human capital and the private sector.
In June of this year, the ADB announced that the upcoming new Partnership Strategy with the country for 2024-2028 will also focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, public-private partnerships, digital technologies, solar energy development, and the water sector.
