The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Saturday got acquainted with the projects of the second stage of construction of Arkadag city and held a working meeting on the matter.
During the meeting, Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, and Mayor of Arkadag City Shamuhammet Durdyliyev reported to the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the ongoing work to realize the set tasks, the country’s official media reports.
The Halk Maslakhaty Chairman inspected sketches of projects and drawings of locations of the planned facilities, museum and the Main Mosque of the city. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was also presented samples of signposts with the name of Arkadag city, one of which will be placed on one of the high spurs of Kopetdag.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the inscription should be beautiful, visible from afar and generally attract attention, and the lighting of the signpost should be approached taking into account modern realities and best practices.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people said that at the second stage of construction of the new city it is planned to build industrial and production complexes, health care facilities, light and food industries.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave a number of instructions on ensuring ecological safety of the environment at the industrial facilities planned in the second stage of construction of Arkadag city. He also emphasized the importance of producing high quality products, which contributes to increasing the country's export opportunities.
