President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent condolences to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon over natural disasters in the country that resulted in human casualties, injuries and destruction, according to the report by official Turkmen on Monday.
On behalf of the people, the Government of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, the Head of State expressed words of empathy and support to all relatives and friends of the victims in this difficult moment, as well as wishes for speedy recovery of the injured.
Heavy rains caused a natural disaster in Wahdat and Rudaki district on August 27, killing 13 people, including 11 in Wahdat and two in Rudaki district, according to the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
The President of Tajikistan expressed condolences to the families and relatives of the victims. Emomali Rahmon also instructed the Prime Minister of the country, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, other relevant structures and bodies to provide assistance to the families of those killed in the disaster, to take urgent measures to eliminate the consequences of the disaster.
