Serdar Berdimuhamedov Visits Kelete Military Training Centre
The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces, at a military training centre Kelete , October 21, 2023, Ahal province.

The President of Turkmenistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, visited the Kelete training centre on Saturday. There, the Armed Forces and other branches of Turkmenistan conducted joint military training.

According to the official Turkmen media, upon the head of state's arrival at the training centre, Secretary of the State Security Council, Defence Minister Begench Gundogdyyev reported on the readiness for the joint training, which involved all formations of the army, air defence forces, air force and navy, units of the Türkmen edermen special forces, as well as team of the Türkmen edermen special forces of the military and law enforcement agencies.

These exercises, conducted following the country's defensive Military Doctrine, aim to improve military personnel's professional skills and combat training. They are also aimed at coordinating actions on land, in the air, and at sea, using the latest combat methods and tactics.

During the training exercise, drone flights and troop fire attacks were demonstrated live via the TürkmenÄlem 52oE communication satellite.

Providing the National Army with advanced equipment and facilitating conditions for effective service is one of the priority areas of the president's state policy. The country's naval forces' material and technical base is consistently strengthened by equipping them with modern equipment and machinery, building ships with the latest modifications at specialised domestic enterprises, and improving military sailors' combat and theoretical training.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected various military equipment exhibited at the training centre. Among the samples on display were drones and other weapons.

The head of state emphasised that the core task of the military personnel is to implement the provisions of the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, which is based on the principles of positive neutrality and is purely defensive in nature. He also noted that the state will continue strengthening the material and technical base of all branches of the armed forces.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's armed forces congratulated the military exercises' success. He expressed his best wishes to the soldiers and officers who had demonstrated a high level of combat training and wished them success in fulfilling their essential and responsible mission of protecting the peace in their native land.
