President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in his congratulatory letter to the participants of the International Exhibition and Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023" (OGT-2023), named the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline as one of the promising megaprojects through which natural gas will be supplied to European countries, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
The congratulatory letter highlighted the significant opportunities available for foreign business individuals to engage in the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline. This pipeline aims to transport Turkmen natural gas to Southeast Asia. The pipeline's construction is expected to bolster the economies of all countries involved in the region and have a positive impact. He also emphasised that the Galkynysh gas field, one of the largest in the world, plays a unique role in fulfilling international demand for Turkmen gas.
The head of state noted the significant efforts made to develop this giant field and create optimal conditions in Turkmenistan to attract investments.
"Not limiting itself to the possibilities of exporting natural gas, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to its processing and is open to mutually beneficial cooperation in this segment," President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
The International Exhibition and Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2023" (OGT-2023) will be held in Ashgabat from 25 to 27 October. The purpose of OGT 2023 is to strengthen regional dialogue, review global trends in the energy sector and attract foreign investment in Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry. Participation in the conference will also help learn about new investment projects in Turkmenistan's fuel and energy and oil and gas chemical complexes.
