The first meeting of representatives of the Joint Turkmen-Kazakhstan Working Commission on Transport and Transit and Logistics will be held in Ashgabat on November 26, the General Director of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, Mammethan Chakyev, stated in his report to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
The meeting is expected to discuss aspects related to the optimal use of the infrastructure of transport and transit corridors passing through the territories of both countries, coordination and implementation of joint projects in this field, development of logistics centres, guaranteeing the safety of transportation, as well as pricing policy, the official Turkmen media reports.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of the Turkmen-Kazakh Joint Working Commission and instructed the agency head to ensure thorough preparations for the upcoming meeting.
Kazakh entrepreneurs will conduct a business visit to Turkmenistan on November 28, 2023. The visit will encompass the Lebap, Mary, Balkan provinces, and Ashgabat City. The entrepreneurs will meet with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of these regions.
