Turkmenistan Greenlights 2024 State Budget Surpassing 102.3 Billion Manats

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Law of Turkmenistan "On the State Budget for 2024", the newspaper Turkmenistan published on Monday.

According to the law, the State budget of Turkmenistan for 2024 should be approved with 102.3 billion manats for revenues and expenditures. It includes the first budget level, which amounts to 32.86 billion manats for revenues and expenditures.

The Centralized Budget of Turkmenistan for 2024 was approved with 91 billion 544.7 million manat for revenues and expenditures. Furthermore, the first level of the budget, comprising revenues and expenditures, amounted to 22 billion 096.2 million manat.

Additionally, in 2024, Arkadag City's and the provinces' budgets will be balanced by allocating 2 billion 986.2 million manats from the Centralized Budget of Turkmenistan. Specifically, Arkadag city will receive 211.3 million manats, Dashoguz province will receive 1 billion 685.4 million manats, and Lebap province will receive 1 billion 089.5 million manats.

According to the State Budget Act for 2024, salaries, pensions, State benefits, and scholarships are protected expenditure items in the State budget.

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan has confirmed that the country's state budget for the year 2022 has been executed with revenues amounting to 124 billion 299 million 117.6 thousand manat and expenditures amounting to 117 billion 601 million 110.4 thousand manat.
