Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikail Chingiz oglu Jabbarov, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the official Turkmen media reported on Tuesday.
The head of state expressed his well-wishes for the upcoming 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and expressed a strong belief that the meeting would contribute to strengthening comprehensive ties between the two countries.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to expanding and strengthening multilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan and highlighted that the two countries and their nations have good-neighbourly relations based on mutual respect, trust and understanding.
Within the framework of the meeting, the two sides discussed the prospects of further building up the traditional partnership established on a long-term basis in several priority areas of mutual interest.
The sides also emphasised bilateral interest in expanding practical cooperation in cultural, scientific and educational aspects.
After the meeting, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Economy Mikail Chingiz oglu Jabbarov exchanged well wishes for good health, happiness and success in their respective endeavours. They expressed a strong belief in the continued advancement and deepening of interstate relations.
