Turkmen Alabay, Akdost, Secures Dual Championship Titles in Russia

A Turkmen Alabay Akdost has achieved the title of Russian champion in the "Central Asian Shepherd Dog" category in two distinct areas. In 2021, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding, gifted Akdost to Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan.

As reported by the official Turkmen media on Saturday, the Russian Kynological Federation organized the championship in Kazan, Tatarstan, from January 15 to 17, 2024, focusing on the "Central Asian Shepherd Dog" nomination.

On January 15, 2024, Akdost received an award for purity and beauty, while on January 17, 2024, it was recognized for intelligence and attentiveness. The competition saw the participation of approximately 200 dogs from various regions of Russia.

The Russian Kynological Federation, established in 1991, is the largest cynological organization in Russia. About 5.5 million dogs, 1427 dog clubs, and about 22,358 kennels from all regions of the country are registered in the RKF Stud book.
