Following President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's order, Turkmenistan on February 3, 2024 dispatched 2,000 tons of liquefied gas to Kyrgyzstan as humanitarian aid.
Departing from Turkmenabat railway station, the friendly assistance aims to support Kyrgyzstan, addressing energy sector challenges, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media on Sunday.
Under the directive, the “Türkmengaz” (Turkmen Gas) State Concern was tasked with delivering the 2,000 tons of liquefied gas to Kyrgyzstan.
Ahmet Babakulov, Chief Engineer of the Liquefied Gas Production Department of Lebap province, highlighted the swift action taken after the Order's signing, ensuring the prompt preparation of 2,000 tons of liquefied gas for shipment from Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported, the train carrying liquefied gas arrived on Monday at the Shopokov railway station in Kyrgyzstan. The event witnessed the participation of Turkmenistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyrgyzstan Nury Goliev along with representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic's Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Kyrgyztransneftegaz" State Enterprise, and "NK Kyrgyz Temir Zholu" State Enterprise.
