President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during regular government meeting on Friday has signed a decree to present cash gifts to women in the country on the occasion of International Women's Day, as reported by the official media of the country.
The document acknowledges women's significant contributions to the country's prosperity, raising a devoted and inspired generation, and aligns with the President's Resolution No. 1152 "On presenting cash gifts to the women of our country on the occasion of International Women's Day," dated February 27, 2019.
According to the decree, from March 1–6, 2024, in a celebratory atmosphere, cash gifts of 60 manats each will be presented on behalf of the President to women and girls. This includes those working in enterprises, institutions, and organizations, regardless of ownership, as well as pensioners, recipients of state benefits, students in postgraduate and clinical residency programs with production breaks, participants in courses at the Academy of Public Service under the President of Turkmenistan with a study period of at least two years, students, schoolgirls, and preschool girls.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister for economic and financial matters Hojamyrat Geldimyradov to ceremoniously present cash gifts to women and girls in the country on the occasion of International Women's Day.
The government meeting also addressed current issues related to the social and economic development of the country and discussed several document projects.
