The Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan from March 3 to 5, 2024 will host an exhibition of Afghan goods and a Turkmen-Afghan business forum.

On Monday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution regarding the organization of the exhibition and business forum, according to official media in Turkmenistan.

The decision aims to arrange the exhibition and business forum in Ashgabat, aligning with the traditional values of the Turkmen people, emphasizing principles of friendship, brotherhood, good neighborliness, and humanism.

As per the resolution, Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are tasked with organizing these events at a high organizational level in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry building.

On January 13 of the current year, Hoja Ovezov, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Afghanistan, met with Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Trade and Industry, in Kabul. The discussions during the meeting focused on organizing the exhibition in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, intending to serve as a key platform for showcasing Afghan products.
