Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his letter to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressed optimism about the upcoming visit and its potential impact on bilateral cooperation and the expeditious realization of crucial joint initiatives, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Monday.

President Mirziyoyev extends sincere appreciation to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his message reinforcing the enduring friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic collaboration between the two nations.

The letter acknowledges Berdimuhamedov's support for Uzbekistan's decision to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the revered Turkmen poet and thinker, Magtymguly Pyragy.

President Mirziyoyev conveys hope that the Turkmen side actively participates in organizing events dedicated to celebrating Magtymguly's work, scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan this year.
