Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg held a meeting in Vienna on Monday, during which they signed the Cooperation Program between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2024-2025, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The participants of the negotiations discussed key directions of bilateral cooperation, including collaboration in politics and diplomacy, economic and trade relations, energy issues, cultural ties, and exchanged views on important regional and international issues of mutual interest.
As part of his working visit to Vienna, Meredov also had a meeting with the Secretary General for Foreign Affairs of Austria, Nikolaus Marschik, and the Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Karlheinz Kopf, according to the embassy of Turkmenistan in Austria.
The Turkmen delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, is on a working visit to Austria from March 10 to 12, 2024.
During the visit, the delegation plans to hold meetings with the government, relevant ministries, agencies, leadership of international organizations, trade and economic structures, and business circles of Austria
