Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan to Strengthen Gas Industry Collaboration

Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan’s QazaqGaz joint-stock company, held meetings with Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, and Maksat Babaev, Chairman of the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, during a visit to Ashgabat, as reported by QazaqGaz on Tuesday.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed plans to enhance fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the gas industry.

In particular, the parties highlighted mutual interest in jointly developing gas pipeline projects on the territories of both countries and gas supplies on mutually beneficial terms.

Following the meetings, the parties expressed readiness to cooperate in expanding strategic cooperation in the gas sector.
