On Thursday, a ceremony was held at the Istiklol Medical Complex in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, where gifts were presented to children from the friendly Tajik nation on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, as reported by Turkmenistan's official.
In accordance with the decree of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care donated medical supplies, textiles, children's clothing, and confectionery to Tajikistan.
The event was attended by members of the Government delegation of Turkmenistan in Dushanbe as well as officials from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the gift-giving ceremony, cultural performers and artists from both countries entertained the attendees with musical compositions celebrating friendship and brotherhood.
Speakers at the event noted that thanks to the trustful contacts between the Presidents of both countries, as well as the constructive nature of the interstate relations based on the historical and cultural unity of the two peoples, a solid foundation has been formed for the further progressive development of Tajik-Turkmen dialogue.
Representatives from the Tajik side expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the textiles, confectionery, clothing, medicinal, and medical supplies donated to Tajik children.
The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care works to protect the health of children separated from their parents for various reasons, to ensure they receive proper education, or to support those in need of medical treatment, even if they have guardians.
