New Direction of Entrepreneur Rights Protection Discussed in Turkmenistan
The regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Ensuring the Implementation of Turkmenistan's International Commitments in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, April 6, 2024.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held another meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Ensuring the Implementation of Turkmenistan's International Commitments in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law on April 6, 2024. During the meeting, the agenda also included issues related to the establishment of new directions within the Ombudsperson's Office to protect the rights of children, women, and entrepreneurs.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, several ministries and industry departments, as well as representatives of public associations.

The agenda included a review of the Interdepartmental Commission's work over the first three months of 2024, as well as discussions on tasks related to the implementation of the "National Action Plan on Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025", the "National Action Plan on Gender Equality in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025", and the "National Action Plan on Children's Rights in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028".

The meeting also explored opportunities to enhance cooperation with the International Labour Organization (ILO), accession to international documents, and the Roadmap project for joint activities with the ILO for 2024-2025.

The Interdepartmental Commission meeting also addressed several other issues.
